A limited run McLaren MP4-12C SGP Edition will be unveiled on the eve of the Singapore grand prix this weekend. The special edition supercar’s reveal was leaked on the Teamspeed forum.
McLaren Special Operations is expected to build three of the SFP models, which are priced at £790,000. Two have already been reportedly sold.
The special edition is finished in black with red highlights, said to echo McLaren's F1 car. It will also feature new front and rear bumpers and new lightweight alloy wheels.
The car will be officially unveiled at an event hosted by McLaren boss, Ron Dennis and head of sales, Marcus Korbach, in Singapore.
McLaren Special Operations was set up in 2011 to deliver special bespoke projects. Its first car, a Volcano Orange MP4-12C premiered at last year’s Pebble Beach concours d’elegance. This year it unveiled the extreme 12C-based McLaren X-1.
