The twin-charger system concept boosts power and torque from the GT86’s 2.0-litre engine to 315bhp

The Toyota GT86 TRD will be joined at the Goodwood Festival of Speed by a turbocharged and supercharged concept version of Toyota’s new rear-drive coupé.

The GRMN Sports FR Concept is the work of specialist tuner and race team Gazoo Racing, and made a low-key debut at the Nürburgring 24 Hours last month.

The twin-charger system concept boosts power and torque from the GT86’s 2.0-litre engine to 315bhp and 311lb ft.

The concept is honed for track use, but remains road legal. There’s a more focused suspension system and upgraded brake calipers to boost stopping power.

A special exhaust system has also been fitted by Gazoo Racing, as have new 18-inch alloys wrapped in 245/40 R18 tyres at the front and 265/35 R18s at the rear.

Bodywork changes include a rear wing and deeper front and rear bumpers.
