Toro Rosso’s Jaime Alguersuari topped day two of the second Formula One test in Jerez.
The team has performed strongly in the damp conditions at Jerez so far and Alguersuari’s team-mate Sebastian Buemi led for much of yesterday. The Spaniardwas fastest ahead of his fellow countryman and Sauber driver Pedro de la Rosa and Force India’s Adrian Sutil.

Michael Schumacher has handed the running of the Mercedes back to Nico Rosberg, while Lewis Hamilton is testing for McLaren and Felipe Massa for Ferrari.
Virgin fitted a new front win to its front car late in the day. Driver Lucas di Grassi completed a seven-lap run straight out of the pits to ensure that the changes to the front wing mounting had been successful.
