A range of performance parts for the Toyota GT86 will be arriving in the UK early next year. The TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Performance Line Accessories will be showcased for the European market at the Paris motor show.
The parts will be available in a number of packs from Toyota dealerships and include a range of interior, exterior and mechanical components.
Available aero parts include a front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Other exterior accessories include a metallic silver fuel filler cap with hexagon bolt detailing and two choices of TRD aluminium wheels.
Both options are 18-inch, with the forged SF2 version improving unsprung weight and the cast TF6 version offering a 10-spoke TRD design. Both are designed to fit the company’s Monoblock Brake Kit which uses 355mm front and 345mm rear discs and Brembo calipers.
Interior accessories include a push button starter and a shorter, leather-clad gearstick with a more comfortable grip.
A shock absorber and spring suspension setup will be available. The set offers an adjustable ride height and fits with the also available front and rear stabiliser set and suspension bracing set to reduce body roll.
Also improving body rigidity is the TRD door stabiliser. Performance-improving parts include sports air and oil filters, a new radiator cap for better cooling efficiency and a four-port tuned exhaust.
Toyota also confirmed it is considering a full TRD GT86 model. A spokesman said: "We are looking to introduce a TRD version of the GT86 early next year and we will gauge market reaction before making further decisions."
