Currently reading: Vauxhall Adam may spawn Mini-style line-up

The similarly conceived Mini, Fiat 500 and Citroën DS have all become sub-brands in their own right

Vauxhall is open to expanding the Vauxhall Adam line-up to encompass several different models should the initial three-door be a success.

The similarly conceived Mini, Fiat 500 and Citroën DS have all become sub-brands in their own right, and Vauxhall chairman Duncan Aldred said there were “clearly a few thoughts about the potential of the Adam”.

But he cautioned: “You have to be very careful that you do not push things too far. Each one has to be as good as the base car that it is derived from. If it is not, you eat away at the brand image of that vehicle and it ultimately becomes less attractive.”
